About the book
Do the stories of your life enhance or distract from the life you want to create? Our enjoyment of life depends on how closely aligned our main stories are with the life we envision for ourselves. The everyday activities in which we engage create these stories - weaving them in our minds, souls, and beliefs - driving our actions and creating the story of our lives.
We often don’t think of our lives this way, breaking them down into the patterns and elements that create them, but to change our lives for the better it is here that we must begin. The answer starts with YOU.
By unraveling our own individual stories and current situations, we can create a better whole. Providing the tools necessary to achieve this redefinition, I use the analogy of unraveling a fabric that has been woven with threads that represent the ideas and beliefs you carry with you day after day – Ideas and beliefs that are misaligned with your life goals and in effect keeping you from achieving the life you desire.
Once these stories unraveled you can weave a new fabric, a new story with appropriate threads that encourage and support the life you envision for yourself. This gives way to a ripple effect, as the changes we make impact those around us to begin a tidal wave of hope, inspiration, and beneficial outcomes.
Come With Me
The moon travels through time and space
Unafraid of the clouds
Stars come to life from the times past
Unafraid of the dark of the night
Rivers roar through the canyons,
in search of the sea
Unafraid of drowning in the thirsty soil
Flowers let the winds tear them apart,
in the hopes of making seeds
Unafraid of “not being” anymore
At the end, moon, stars, rivers, flowers
You, I, desires, hopes, hunger, thirst
Shadows, money, religion, car keys
All grind down to grains of sand
Hurled into a vast deep space
The knowing that makes us laugh
In unison, this unafraid oneness
Not remembering that there was fear
So before this end ever comes
Stop watching the mouse waiting for the owl
Unpack this bag of fear and come with me
We will sit with the moon and the stars
And shine quietly through this night
The moon travels through time and space
